Humpty Dumpster

His shell was swept up
the crack of his grin
broccoli and tea bags
the compost bin

All the good causes
and all the king's men
couldn't make Humpty
a lover or friend

Tuppence was found
on the way up the hill
and dropped in the bucket
of Jack and his Jill

Fetching the water
and feeding the swine
filling her apron
with Mother Goose thyme

A very clever piece. We're all very familiar with the verses of 'Humpty Dumpty', 'Jack and Jill' and 'Mother Goose', but this breaks all the rules and flirts with our expectations. It marries all three and produces very enigmatic outcomes.
